1928-2021

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Flavia Blasioli, on Friday October 15, 2021, at the age of 93. Loving wife of the late Aristide and dear daughter of the late Ottaviano Marcantonio and Anna D'Astolfo.

She leaves to mourn her children, Corrado (Elaine), Pina (Daniel McClurg), Carla (Mel Thompson), and Donna (Michel Parent). Cherished Nonna of Christine, Marco, Jennifer, David, Corrine, Sarah, Amanda, Jonathan and Julia . Adoring Bisnonna to Tainisha, Anthony, Nicholas, Rylan, Mia, Gianna, Kalum, and Léo. Also survived by her brother Giovanni (Angela) and sister-in-law Lisa (late Remo). She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in Ottawa and in Italy.

Predeceased by her siblings, Luigi (Teresa), Argia, Augusto, Mario and Remo.

Flavia was born in Manoppello, Italy and resided in Ottawa since 1953. Her talents were weaved with a gift of sewing and writing. She had an absolute love for fashion and expressed it proudly by always dressing with such flair. To her family she will forever be remembered as the strong and uncompromising Matriarch of the Blasioli family.

The family is incredibly grateful to Dr. Gray O'Byrne and the staff at Villa Marconi Long Term Care for their care and compassion through her final journey.

Visitation will take place at Cole Funeral Services and Pinecrest Remembrance, 2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, on Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 2:00 p.m - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 427 Booth Street, Ottawa, on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. It is mandatory to RSVP. Please follow the link https://signup.com/go/aKQfkdk or call Cole Funeral Services at 613-831-7122 to register by phone.

A Memorial Mass will be held for all family and friends at Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 427 Booth Street, Ottawa, on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.
