Obituary of Patrick Francis Timlin

It is with profound sadness that the family of Patrick Francis Timlin announces his passing in Ottawa on October 21, 2021, at the age of 88. He was a loving husband of 64 years to Lorraine (née Bruce) and devoted father to Brenda Campbell (Kim) and Robert (Susan) and his late son Michael (Lori). He will be adoringly remembered by his six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Pat shared an close family bond with his two brothers, five sisters and many nieces and nephews.

While much of his career was in management of commercial land development Pat always enjoyed opportunities to apply his engineering, drafting and construction skills in the workplaceand by assisting family and friends with building projects. His pride and joy was his family whom he loved spending time with.When his children were growing up many summers were spent together camping and traveling across Canada. Pat and Lorraine also enjoyed adventures traveling to Europe, Hawaii, the Caribbean and Central America. Pat treasured barbequing for his family, Sunday night family dinners, playing euchre with his brothers and friends, his annual Highland Games weekends, and watching or participating in all kinds of sports. He was a kind and brilliant man, with a great sense of humour and fast wit, and an easy smile. He will be dearly missed. 

In keeping with Pat’s wishes, A private Family Funeral Service has taken place. Family and friends are welcome to share memories and condolences at Cole Funeral Services. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made in his honour to The Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation.
