To the Calderwood family and friends, my sympathies on Jack's passing. In 1987 Jack was the Director of the newly created Transfer Pricing/Competent Authority Division in CRA. I was privileged that Jack took me on as one of his new recruits. Jack was more than "an accountant with CRA"; he was a well-respected international taxation specialist/expert, both in Canada and around the world. When Jack retired I was in the copy room with him when he photocopied his CRA security badge before leaving the CRA building for the last time as a Federal employee. Jack was a true professional and gentleman; always approachable and worked closely and well with his team members. Jack was a driving force in raising the importance of international taxation with CRA executive management. We lost a great man...rest in peace, Jack.
