Obituary of Sofia Pimentel Belmonte

Sofia Pimentel Belmonte passed away peacefully, at the age of 60, in the Civic Hospital on Friday, December 17th, 2021. 

Survived by her loving husband Alvin and her daughter Monica. She will be forever remembered by her sister-in-law Edit, her son-in-law Alex, the Pimentel, Belmonte, Ignacio, and Smith Families, her work family, and her friends.

Sofia was born in the Philippines, on August 10th, 1961. She worked as a full-time nurse and business owner. Her family moved to Canada in 2008 and she worked in the hotel industry until 2020. Sofia was a very hard worker and wanted to provide for her family. 

On her free time, she enjoyed gardening and cooking delicious food for her famiy and friends. In the past year, she really enjoyed going on walks and being outside with nature. 

She had a sharp sense of humor and quick wit, even while battling her Brain Cancer. Without a doubt she has left a positive impact in the hearts and minds of those fortunate enough to have met her. She left us with memories that remind us of the kind, providing, and loving soul that now watches over us from heaven.
