Obituary of Mrudulaben Pranjivandas Mistry (née Damania)
July 18, 1923 – January 15, 2022
Mrudulaben ("Bhen") Pranjivandas Mistry passed away peacefully at home early in the morning on January 15, 2022 in Ottawa, Canada. Second youngest daughter of Jagivandas and Bhikhiben Damania, she was born in Bombay, India. Bhen is predeceased by her parents, brothers and sisters. Wife of the late Pranjivandas Lallubhai Mistry, she is survived by her loving sons Ashok (Shona) and Bakul (Hema), and her adoring daughters Maya (Kashyap), Mira (Kirit), and Shobhna (Ramesh). Bhen leaves a family legacy of 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren in India, Canada, the United States and Dubai. They will sorely miss her. She will also be greatly missed by her daughter-in-law's sister, Nina Mukerjee, who took great care of her alongside her son Ashok throughout her elder years in Ottawa. Her family extends its gratitude to the Champlain Home and Community Care Support Services and, in particular the caring PSWs, as well as the staff of the Civic Hospital Stroke Unit team for their support through her final days.
The Funeral Services will be held at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
