Barbara was our first neighbor, couldn't have asked for a better one. She truly had the purest heart and always was smiling when we saw her. It was very tough to hear about her passing. Sending my deepest condolences to Bob and their family.

Bob, Shannon and family, My deepest condolences to you all on Barb's passing. I was just informed by a mutual friend, Steve McConnell. I worked with Barb at Kmart for 10 years and will always remember her smile, leopard print clothes, Rod Stewart fan and everybody loved her. My deepest condolences to Bob and family. It has been my privilege to have Barb and Bob as the most wonderful, trusting and caring neighbours for 15 years. We would meet in the middle of the road and have some great chin wags. This street will never be the same without her. A new star in the sky is shining on our little street. Barbara was a dear, beautiful sweet lady inside and out. She knew my parents and Bob introduced them in 1957. I've known her since I was born. Our families had many visits and great times. I was a very frequent Kmart shopper and I loved seeing Barb at the Service Desk. She absolutely loved when I had our daughter and brought the baby in to visit her. She was a very huge help and a dear friend to help me last year when both my parents passed away. She kept me going with wonderful, positive messages and memories of Mom and Dad. I will miss her terribly. She lived her best life with Bob and raised 3 wonderful kids. Love and hugs to the whole Verner family. Trish (Adair) & Gary Derick

What a dear sweet lady she was. I have known Bob and Barbara since I was a baby. She had a distinct laugh that made everyone around smile. I worked with her at k-mart and always loved to hear her tell the store that we were closing in 10 minutes. A very special lady that will be sadly missed. Her kindness was inherited by her three children and the rest of her family. I am so proud to have been a part of her life.
