Obituary of Lois Anne May

Lois was born in Huntingdon, Quebec on August 9, 1938. She passed way on May 12, 2023 at the MayCourt Hospice from her fourth and final bout with cancer.

She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Wayne Ferns and her beloved daughter, Darra Silverman.  Left to mourn are her husband and partner for more than 64 years, Gordon May, her much loved daughters Brenda May and Donna May (Ken Schroeder) and her adored grandchildren, Kiersten Hoffman, Dr. Rebecka Flynn (Christian), Hannah May (Regann), Moriah Silverman (Kyle) and Harrison Silverman. Also remembering are her sister-in-law Thelma Robb (George) and her brother (in spirit) Bruce Sutton as well as many nieces and nephews.

Lois was a long time member of Knox United Church and of the MayCourt  club. Her primary goal in life was to be a good wife, mother and grandmother at which she was a great success.

Many thanks to the health care professionals, led by her family doctor Kristin Tonon, who cared for Lois throughout her battle and the unsung heroes, the PSW’s  who worked with such compassion to ensure her comfort through the latter stages of her illness.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road.
