Obituary of Norman Berkeley Allen

Berk passed away peacefully, July 14, 2023, at Carleton Lodge Ottawa in his 95^th year.

Predeceased by his parents Norman and Annie Allen and his sister Doris Curran (Jim).  Berk is survived by his niece Patsy Curran and nephew Jim Curran (Late Linda) along with many generations of nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank his dear, special lifelong friends Wayne Larocque (Lise), Sid Webb (Natalie), Derry Mihell (Kendra) and Jacob Dombroskie for all their help, caring and visits over the years.

Berk graduated with Bachelor of Commerce form Carleton College in 1952, followed by a lengthy career with the Federal Government. In retirement, Berk enjoyed traveling the world in search of adventure, spending time with friends and paddling his canoe in the waters of Spectacle Lake and Algonquin Park.

The family would also like to thank all the wonderful staff at the Carleton Lodge Long Term Care Home for all their great support and caring services over the last couple of years.

In accordance with Berk’s wishes there will be no formal funeral services. In Berk’s honor a small informal gathering is planned in the coming weeks for close friends and family.
