Obituary of Susan Ellwood

Sue passed away at her loving home at the Redwoods at the age of 80.She has now gone to join her beloved Donald James Ellwood (2020). Devoted and Loving mother to Michael (Heather) and Dianne (Oscar). Caring Grandma to Kevin (Riley), Thomas Ellwood and Allison and Mark Tolgyesi. Great Grandma to Sloane Ellwood. Sue is the eldest of her four siblings; Nancy (David Bratt), Doug Neal and Don Neal (Mel).Sue always provided a loving home for her family and also felt it was important to give her time to Volunteering in the Community, she was with many different organizations.  She was the recipient of the Nepean Millenium Volunteer Award in 2000 and the IODE Volunteer of 25 years award. The family would like to extend a Thank You to all  the staff at Redwoods who made our moms stay there so enjoyable and she was cared for as if she was their family too.

 

Family will receive friends on Monday, July 31, 2023 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Highland Park Visitation Centre (2037 McGee Side Rd., at Carp Rd.). 

 

A Service in Memory of Sue will be on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Highland Park Chapel A time of Food and Fellowship will follow the service at Highland Park. 

 

For those wishing to attend the interment will be at Pinecrest Cemetery (2500 Baseline Rd., Ottawa) at 2:00 pm, August 1, 2023.

 

In memoriam donations  to the IODE Walter Baker Chapter would be appreciated by the family.
