Obituary of Theodoros Vakos

It is with heavy sorrowful hearts that we announce the passing of our loving father who left us peacefully on August 1, 2023 at the age of 85.  

Beloved husband of the late Athanasia Vakos (nee Milonakou).  Loving father of Anastasia and Eleni/Helen (Dimitris).  Predeceased by his parents Vassilis and Anastasia  Vakos (nee Simou/Simos), stepmother Aglaia Vakou and half-brother Panayiotis/Peter Vakos.  He will be deeply missed by his sister in-laws Christina (wife of the late Paul Levetsovitis) (nee Milonakou) and Adamantia (wife of the late Leonidas Kourtakos) (nee Milonakou), (Greece) his Aunt Voula Vakou, cousins Adonis (Eugenia) Vakos, Dimitris (Roula) Vakos, Elias (Irini) Vakos, Panayiotis (Toula) Vakos, the late Athanasios (Nelly) Vakos, the late Yiannis (Olga) Vakos, and nieces and nephews.

The funeral and burial will take place at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church (1315 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa, ON, K2C 1N2) and Pinecrest Cemetery (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, ON, Canada) on Friday, September 8, 2023.  Visitation will commence at 11:30 am until 12:30 pm, followed by the funeral service.
