I met John in 1992, his Mom had married my Dad. It was the first time we met and he was truly the love of my life. We spent many a great time together, unfortunately, different life changes. We caught up last year in September, and have spoken or text daily. I am truly heartbroken to hear of his passing, we spoke a few days before his last surgery. I love you my dear friend, may you have peace, I’ll see you when I see you

I have known John since High School days at our beloved LHS. Lost touch over the years but reconnected via Facebook awhile back. He was helpful connecting my wife to custom shirt printers the non profit daycare she is the director for. He had not changed at all. He was still the same since I last saw him in HS. Rest easy John.

To John's family and friends, My sincerest condolences to all of you on your loss of a kind soul. Every text sent to John, always ended with 'we'll get together at St.Louis Bar and Grill soon, bud'. He was always positive despite what he was going through. John and I went to high school together, a high school that no longer physically exists but it's memory was kept alive because of John's tireless work. I know a lot of Laurentian alumni are thankful for having at least one piece of merchandise so we can wear our 'Laurentian Lion' proudly, something we didn't realize as much, back then. It's part of our history and our journey in life. I'm happy having known John during this journey and he will be missed. Tony Zito

John was such a bright light and so upbeat even in the face of his struggles with his heart disease. He will long be remembered by this LHS alumnus, especially when wearing my hoodie or ballcap.
