Hi Elaine. I was very saddened to hear the news. May God bless Bernie and you. I hope you will gain strength through remembering the many wonderful memories you made together. Just think of your wonderful Europe river cruise from last year as just one small example.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Elaine
I was shocked and saddened to hear that Bernie had passed. We were colleagues at work for years and breakfast club members. When I think of Bernie, I think of his humour. I will miss him.
I haven't met Bernie's other family members, but my sincerest condolences go out to them.

Dear Elaine. I can only treasure all the years working around Bernie at PWGSC. It was Larry and Dawn that introduced him to me but I also worked with his good friend Mike Siple way, way back in the day. I too, am part of the Friday breakfast club and always enjoyed all of our conversations of the old days and always of your travels. He was such a lovely man, a true gentleman. I know he was your rock in life and he made life as wonderful as possible. His spirit and love will guide you forward Elaine. It is a loss of one of the great ones. May you somehow find peace and enjoy the love you had for all these years together. XXOO

Elaine, I had the pleasure of working with Bernie and the "Friday Breakfast Crew (work place friendships)". I keep good memories of Bernie. He was an employer of choice giving opportunities to his team members to grow professionally and shine when the occasion arose. My thoughts are with you.

Dear Elaine, I'm so sorry to learn of Bernie's passing. I know that no words that can describe your pain. Perhaps the following will give you some comfort:
'You would know the secret of death.
But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life?
If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide unto the body of life.
For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.' Khalil Gibran, 'The Prophet'

Dear Elaine,
It is unbelievably sad and hard to believe that Bernie passed away. It feels like yesterday that we would be enjoying breakfast and chatting away about things and when Bernie's face lit up when food and recipes were mentioned. He was always attentive and expressive about things he liked as well those that he did not. He fought this terrible disease courageously while continuing living his life doing what he loved.
You Elaine were "the apple of his eye" which he demonstrated so often with words and gestures. You two had a union that was admired and that not everyone can achieve. He will be with you forever.
Rosanda
