Eileen Ivory

1927 - 2023

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Eileen, age 96, our loving and devoted mother on September 25, 2023, when she left us peacefully with family at her side.

Born in Houghton, Cambridgeshire, England in 1927, she was the second daughter of the late Thomas and Rose Casey. She and her husband John were married in 1952 and soon after began building their lives together in Canada, settling in the Ottawa area where they raised their two children, Cathy, and Bill.

Eileen is predeceased by her husband, John, sister, Kathleen Grant and sons-in-law, Bruce Wilson and Gordon Glaze. She is survived by her two children, Cathy, and Bill (Janet), grandchildren, Nick (Caitlin), Cameron Wilson (Katherine Knapp), Kelsey (Dean Moore); great granddaughter, Kennedy; and nieces Eileen and Sandra, nephew Paul and their families in England.

She loved her family and will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Our deepest gratitude to the team at St. Lawrence Lodge for their care and support.

A private celebration of Eileen’s life will be held at a later date
