Janice was a good friend and I will always miss her. I knew David Zink from visiting the Grenadier Military store in Port Perry and my husband, also David, also loved going in there.
In 2011, after my husband died, David Zink phoned to invite me out to lunch with his wife Janice and himself. That is when I met her, and the friendship grew from there, especially after they also moved into the condominium where I also lived.
When David Zink died in 2012, I was introduced to Darina Quinn by Janice and the three of us became good friends, often putting together collaborative Sunday dinners at Janice's condo.
After her move to Peterborough we could visit quite regularly with Janice, but after another move to Manotick to be closer to her son and his family, it was more difficult. Also, as we all remember COVID happened. That's when we started 3-way conference calls.
We did visit her in Manotick in 2022 and September of 2023, and I am so glad we were able to do that. She was a very special person.
