Obituary of Deborah Spencer

Deborah Ann Spencer (nee Boyle), known to her loved ones as Debbie, or Deb, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2024, in Ottawa, Ontario, at the age of 70. She was born on December 2, 1953, in Ottawa, Ontario.

Debbie was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who will be remembered for her warmth, her caring and generous nature, her wicked sense of humor and her zest for life. She lived to cook, garden, listen to music, dance in her kitchen, and spend time at the family cottage. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother.  She will be so dearly missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by her husband, John, her daughter Lindsay (Greg), and her granddaughter August. Debbie is preceded in death by her father, Douglas Boyle, her mother, Greta Brown, her stepfather, Mackenzie Brown, and her sister, Bonnie Boyle.

A Celebration of Life in memory of Debbie will be held at Pinecrest Cemetery, Cole Funeral Services on March 18th from 12pm to 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
