Obituary of Claude Glemaud
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Claude "Boss Jo" Glemaud, born on June 22, 1960, a cherished husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and sibling, who peacefully departed this world on February 16, 2024. Claude was born to his loving parents Marie-Anne Roselie Romelus and the late Michel Glemaud.
Claude's life was a testament to love, family, and the pursuit of a better future.
As a young adult, Claude ventured to Canada from Haiti with his parents and siblings in search of a new beginning. Together, they embarked on a journey filled with hope and the promise of a brighter tomorrow.
Claude shared over 40 years of unwavering love and companionship with his devoted wife, Louise Mirambeau. Their bond stood the test of time, weathering life's challenges and joys together, a true testament to their enduring love.
Claude was loved immensely by his beloved predeceased daughter, Kaina Glemaud, whose passing left a void that could never be filled. Although she departed before him, her memory and spirit continued to live on in his heart, a cherished presence that brought both joy and sorrow. Claude will also be dearly missed by his son, Steve Glemaud.
He was a dedicated father who always put his family first, imparting wisdom and love to his children.
Claude is also survived by his siblings: Carol, Fritz, Jean Robert, Rose Laure, Paulette, Nicole, and Margarette. Their shared memories and unbreakable familial bond will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
In addition to his immediate family, Claude is survived by his stepchildren: Marie Alta, (Handy), Christa (Patrick), Clifford (Vastie), Ricardo (Marie), Ludger, and Ingrid (Michael) He embraced them as his own, nurturing and guiding them with love and care.
Claude's legacy of love and dedication extends to his grandchildren and step-grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy and happiness into his life. He will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him, including Elijah, Jeremiah, Jennifer, Marcus, Vladimir, Sasha, Shana, Elizabeth, Ketana, Josue, Christy, Michaela, Mickayla, Luigi, Diego, Tieshauna, Shaide, Aaliyah, Tassy, Polando, Cliff Jr., Lovensky, Sean, Christina, Summer, and Xavier.
Among those who mourn his passing is his nephew Mikey, who held a special place in Claude's heart and was like a second son to him. Their bond was unbreakable, and the memories they shared will be treasured forever.
May Claude Glemaud rest in eternal peace, knowing that his legacy of love, strength, and family will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Friends are invited to pay their respects at Cole Funeral Home, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, on Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 11 am until 12 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation in memory of Claude.
