Obituary of Elvira Citro (née Bonfiglio)

Elvira Citro, born June 29th, 1930, in her beloved town of Alia, Sicily, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 25th, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband Luciano, who loved her deeply. Elvira was the cherished mother of Rina, Sebastian (Avril), and Maria (Rick), the beloved Nonna to Jennifer (Adam), Alison (David), Marcus (Laura), Julia, and Alexia (Anthony), and the adored Bisnonna to Gabriel, Christian, Evangeline, Landon, and Isla.

Elvira was born to Giuseppe Bonfiglio and Vincenza Taravella. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Giuseppina Bonfiglio (Antonino), Maria Bonfiglio (Luigi), Gina Venetico (Salvatore), and her brothers Paulino Bonfiglio (Fifa), Gaetano Bonfiglio (Rosina), and Armando Bonfiglio (Anna). She is survived by her brother Beniamino Bonfiglio (Judy) in Italy, and by many nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly.

Elvira was known for her unwavering love and dedication to her family, always putting their needs above her own. Her passion and talent for sewing, gardening, and cooking will echo through generations to come. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends.
