Sharron Sadowski

Obituary of Sharron Sadowski

It is with great sadness that we announce that Sharron Sadowski, 75 of Carp ON, passed away peacefully in hospital with her loving family by her side on Friday May 3rd, 2024.

Sharron was raised by mother Patricia and stepfather Maurice Hudon, along with father Edmund Poulsen and was born in Ottawa on March 25th, 1949. Loving mother to her two daughters Trish (Shawn) of Toronto and Alli (Mike) of Carp. Special Nana to her beloved grandchildren Ethan, Charlotte, Sam, Travis & Hunter. Dear sister to Gail (Jim) of Summerland, Mary Lou (Mark) of Orleans and brother Greg of Vancouver as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brother Bobby.  Sharron is also survived by her dear friend John Cyr of Ottawa.

Over the last couple of years, Sharron struggled with many health complications but in spite of it all, always maintained a positive outlook and sunny disposition.  She was a great conversationalist, always offering a smile, a laugh, or a warm hug.  She loved people, that was truly her passion and was blessed by having many close friendships throughout her life.

A drop-in service reception will be held in her honour for friends and family on Friday May 10th between 5:30 - 8:30pm at Cole Funeral Home - 2500 Baseline Rd. in Ottawa.

Special thanks to the staff at the Ottawa Heart Institute and to the team at Carp Commons Retirement Village and Granite Ridge Nursing Home.  At Sharron’s request, in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Ottawa Heart Institute.
