Obituary of Michele McPherson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michèle Cecile Marie McPherson on July 3, 2024, in Victoria, B.C.

She was the beautiful daughter of Lonny McPherson and Francine Hubert McPherson (predeceased).  She is survived by her grandmother, Gloria (Joe), and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Michèle was a remarkable and caring person who was always helping friends and others.  She was a big animal lover and dearly loved her cat Mischief of 17 years.

She earned an International Baccalaureate at ISB in Basel, Switzerland and graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology. Following graduation, Michèle joined Parks Canada and enjoyed working with her colleagues, especially the Gulf Islands office in Sidney, B.C. 

Thanks to her mother, Michèle was fluently bilingual in French and English and even learned some ‘Sveits Deutch’ when we lived in Basel, Switzerland.

A memorial service will take place at Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road in Ottawa, Ontario on Saturday July 27, 2024, at 11 a.m. Please follow this link on the day of the service to watch it live streamed.
