Obituary of Irene Brazeau

With deep sadness, the family of Irene Mildred Brazeau announces her passing on October 3, 2024, at the age of 76. Irene was known for her kindness and sense of humor, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She took great pride in caring for others, maintaining a spotless home, and always looking her best when out and about.

Born on May 15, 1948, to Walter and Irene Faulkner, Irene is survived by her three children: Timothy (Julie), Rodney (Lana), and Stephen (Lisa), as well as their father, Jacques. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Jonathan, Justin, Kayla, Kendra, Taylor, their partners, and her great-grandchildren Susanna and Bernard. Irene is also survived by her brothers Charlie and Fred, her sisters Marilyn, Donna, and Bertha, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her siblings Brian, Donald (Buck), Roydon, David, Richard (Dick), Danny, and Joan.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the numerous relatives and friends who supported Irene, as well as the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Ottawa Hospital for their care and compassion.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cole Funeral Services & Pinecrest Remembrance Services, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, ON. The inurnment will take place on Saturday, October 12, at 11:00 a.m. at Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, ON.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Cancer Foundation are welcomed.
