I worked with John Armstrong from 1994 to 2000 at the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy (OSB). John was a very kind and dedicated public servant that always looked for ways to do things better, with the latest technology. He had some great ideas as he helped me develop the forecasting models that would drive the resource allocation across regional offices. One of my best memories was from March 1996 when he challenged me to run in the St. Patrick's Day 10km race and then to complete the Montreal Marathon later that year, which I completed in 3:59:52, which was 8 seconds faster than the 4 hour target we had set.

I hope at this difficult time you all feel cocooned by warm memories of your time with your father, and his life well lived.

John was a good neighbor and a good friend. We shared many fun times on Pinewood and later in Florida and visiting Cherry Valley. Our thoughts go out to Catriona, Andrew, Robert and families.
