Obituary of Kenneth Shane Prevost

Kenneth Prevost entered eternal life on Monday, April 26, 2021. He shared 46 years of marriage with the love of his life Janet. His spirit is carried by his three children, Christopher, Jennifer, and Simon. Ken’s life began on the Gaspé coast, Quebec within the small town of Port Daniel. Life on a farm with 8 siblings Doyle (Linda), Roy (Sarah), Dianne, Patricia (deceased), Ian (Lucinda), Robert (deceased), Alan (Janine) and Reg taught him his love of family and a sense of humour.

Ken was notorious for his library of over 5,000 books. His insatiable appetite for knowledge and learning led him to read 3 books a week on average. Using the power of the unconscious mind through meditation, he practiced and taught the skill of photo reading.

The Creative Thinking Group was founded by Ken more than 20 years ago. He wanted people to have the opportunity to present their ideas, discuss and debate as a group, and consider solutions.

Many people may not realize that Ken could ride a unicycle, he invented several products to which he had patented, he wrote children’s books, he ran marathons, and he was in the process of becoming a registered hypnotist. He kept a small notebook in the pocket of his shirt so that he could capture every idea he had.

We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Ken throughout his life, amongst which are: live in the moment and don’t worry so much. A good date square can solve most problems. You never know what you’ll find at a garage sale. Make goals, write them down, and read them often. Above all else, ask yourself “have you made a friend today?”
