She was an original, far ahead of her time.
I was astonished to discover her lifelong interest in science, and particularly astronomy, which she expressed in wonderful, thoughtful conversations and the way that maybe counts most: by looking. That means setting an alarm clock and going into a field to look up to see... the machinery of the Universe, on display.
Lunar eclipses, the Moon, meteor showers, planetary conjunctions. Just wonderful - and infectious! - expressions by Margaret of absolute awe at the World, writ large. So lucky to have known her.
Much sympathy to Sid, Liz, Kim and Cindy, look up and think of her
