Obituary of Margaret Arnold
Passed away peacefully in the Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital in Ottawa on Sunday November 20, 2022 at the age of 89. Born in Halifax, Margaret was predeceased by the love of her life and husband Gordon Arnold; her parents Elizabeth and Frank Briand; three brothers, Curley, Patrick and Bernard and two sisters, May and Bernadette.
Beloved mother of Sidney Arnold, Elizabeth Bezzina (Alex), Kimberley Thompson (Brent), Cindy Melville (Alex) and grandmother to Lauren, Cara, Isaac, Trevor and Jacob.
Margaret was a proud Maritimer and loved returning home to her beautiful Nova Scotia. Margaret was kind to all and talked to everyone. She was always interested in people and curious about everything. She would pray for you and anyone who mattered to you. A person of great gifts and talents, Margaret had many roles in life: singer, artist, decorator, florist, gardener, bookkeeper, friend, counselor, daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, the list goes on but above all, a servant of the Lord and a person of deep faith. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Special thanks to the Trauma nursing staff at the Ottawa Civic Hospital and the Palliative nursing staff of the 5th floor of the Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital for taking excellent care of Margaret in the final month of her life.
