I always enjoyed listening to Pastor Maryann's sermons at BBC when I was in Ottawa on vacation, and I also enjoyed praying with her via Zoom during our Tuesday CBOQ Prayer Time. Although she was not healed from her cancer here on earth, we know that she is now and forever cured in heaven. She may be gone from our midst, but she will always be in our hearts. Rest in peace, Maryann, until we meet again. And we will. As the hymn says, "We shall meet on that beautiful shore." - Rev. Dr. Victor Lujetic (retired CBOQ pastor)

Maryann and I went to McMaster Divinity School together. She was an authentic leader with a truly sweet spirit. My greatest condolences to all family members and loved ones. We are poorer for the loss of her but I know she is safe in the arms of Jesus. Farewell sister... until we meet again.

I met Maryann around the time of her ordination. I have known Al since our Bible College days. It was great to reconnect with them in Athens (where I had family living). It was a pleasure to share ministry with Maryann, and a blessing to know her and her family. Maryann is now where we hope to be--in the eternal presence of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, which is better by far than anything this earth offers. In Jesus is found hope, comfort, compassion and love at all the times when faith is challenged. Job 19:25 states, I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God; I myself will see him with my own eyes--I and not another. How my heart yearns within me!
May the Lord comfort Al and his sons as well as the rest of the family.
