I’m very saddened to read that Mr. Hagar has passed away. I was good friends with his daughter Janice and spent many times at their home in Overbrook and at the cottage. I loved how he would whistle like a bird and how he would call me LegWeak ( Armstrong). I have lots of great memories of growing up in the Hagar household.

David's life was a blessing. We will miss him at our traditional breakfasts together when we are in town but Margaret, we will still do them, and have a drink of OJ in his memory. David was an old style gentleman, a terrifc dishwasher at our family get togethers and a wonderful Pop to Shira and Joshua as well as Sophia and Michael. Rest in peace David. Well derserved. Margaret and family, it is with great sadness that I am writing this. Dave was a great friend and in our early days a fantastic mentor. From our daily telephone conversations to our visits it was always a pleasure to be in his company. Watching his beloved Leafs get their butts kicked or working on our sports pools won’t be the same. Most of all I’m going to miss the way he answered every call with a drawn out hellooo. On behalf of myself, Mary Jane, Alyson and Courtney our thoughts and prayers are with you.
