Most sisters share a special unbreakable bond and although cousin's, so were Icyline and I. She was one of the most rare cousin's who would ask how you were and waited for the answer.
Icyline accepted the Lord at a very young age and got baptized in the name of Jesus at the All Saints Apostolic Church in Spanish Town, Jamaica and she never departed from her faith. She really loved the Lord and would often engage me in conversations about His greatness which would often lead to discussion about the scriptures. Almost always, I would leave with some food for thought and a to "be continued " discussion as we never always had the answers.
She was very intelligent, very kind, open minded and accepting. No matter the situation she saw the best in everyone.
Her Christ like characteristics has left me with an indelible mark on my life..
She loved to have fun. Her laughter was contagious and was one of her distinguishing features. She enjoyed hearing about some of our hilarious family stories which I would share with her when I visited as she was not always privy to them. She really had a good laugh hearing about one of our cousins who left home without her dentures and didn't realize it until after being driven for 30 minutes towards her destinations.
Richly blessed is how I feel to have had a cousin like Icyline who gave so unselfishly, who loved so unconditionally, who was a real inspiration to me and will never be forgotten.
"Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies" Proverbs 31:10 vs 28 "Her children arise and call her blessed."
Looking forward to that blessed hope of seeing her again in heaven.

Icyline was such a sweet lady. She helped me at Woodvale church by coming in to restock the pew racks. While others were concerned with who was going to do what, she just went ahead and got it done. She wasn't concerned about being seen or receiving accolades. She just wanted to be involved.
